W
e don't like to toot our own horns too often, but once in a while we get letters that remind us - by allowing our students to shine, by finding their strengths and meeting their needs, WillowWood affects lives in some really good ways! These endorsements speak for our school more clearly than anything else we could say; thanks to parents and students for letting us know we made a difference.

From the day we first came to see the school and meet the staff, we knew it was the right place for Brendan. Your view was that students should be challenged to their level of ability by a teaching staff that was both understanding and sensitive to students' special social and academic needs. It was exactly what we were looking for!

Ultimately, the students must do the work themselves, but we give full credit to the nurturing atmosphere at WillowWood and the great group of teachers and counselors who helped Alexandra along the way. In particular, the SPARE program which A. took in Grade 11 imparted organizational skills and techniques which helped her excel in Grade 12 and gave her the self-assurance to approach College confidently. Thanks to the whole WillowWood team.

This is the first year that Andrew is excited about school. He loves his teacher and does his best to please her. We have seen him develop into a more confident child and he is now applying the skills, learned at school, to his assignments. Jamie has been a very supportive, warm, gentle, caring and nurturing teacher. She continues to encourage Andrew with a lot of positive reinforcement and she knows the precise level at which to challenge him ...

I think WillowWood is the best thing that ever happened to me. This school has given me everything - confidence, happiness, great friends and memories I will keep with me forever. ... Thank you for giving me the opportunity to learn, play, and grow up here. You truly saved my life!

John is like a different person. He has gained confidence in himself and smiles a lot more! He is finally seeing results with his hard work and gets excited when a new project is assigned. We never have to ask him to do homework, he dives in as soon as we get home!

We would like to express our thanks and gratitude to both you and your staff at WillowWood School for the wonderful job you have done over the years with our daughters. You have equipped our daughters with the tools for success. We have seen their self-esteem and confidence skyrocket since they have been with you. They have reached their own personal goals of making the honor roll on almost every report card over the years. We only wish more students could be able to access your school and reach their potential.
