illowWood offers a robust Summer Program each summer, for all grade levels
(1 to 12).
High School students can take credit courses, or learn to use assistive technology in the Software Strategies program, or both. While courses offered vary depending on enrollment (we need at least 4 students to run a class), they generally include core subjects such as English, Mathematics, Science, Geography and History. We also offer the Grade 12 Ontario Literacy course - OLC40.
Middle School students can enrol in morning classes - Language Workshops or Mathematics Enrichment - and are also able to enrol in the Software Strategies assistive technology program.
Elementary School students can enroll in one of two courses, for either the morning or afternoon, or both. The Discover Learning Morning Workshops and Afternoon Adventures in Activities provide an opportunity for elementary students to improve learning strategies and academic skills in a fun, rewarding way using a week-by-week theme-based basis. ESL students’ needs can be accommodated into the program as well.
